Job Summary
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate overall efforts in IT Operations
- Schedule maintenance tasks of the operations team
- Schedule after hours and weekend activities of the operations team
- Control shift roster
- Distribute tasks evenly among the team members
- Ensure tasks are delivered on agreed date / time
- Accompany IT Services manager to meetings
- Prepare agendas for monthly staff meetings
- Liaise with department heads on activities to be performed
- Lead Root Cause Analysis activities
- Control the software asset register, ensure completeness and manage end of support / renewals
- Write and maintain operational / info sec documents (including policies, procedures and standards), maintain a library of versioned documents and facilitate sign-offs
- Perform project administrative tasks including the writing of minutes
- Follow up on outstanding orders for equipment
- Assist with audit queries
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- A tertiary qualification / IT-related certification (e.g. ITIL, PMBOK)
- PC literacy: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (especially Word and Excel)
- Appreciation of information security concepts
- Technical writing skills
- Proven experience in office co-ordination
- At least 2 years hands-on working experience as an administrator in a technical environment
- Experience writing documentation for processes and procedures
Preferred Experience:
- Project management / administration
- Help desk support
- Exposure to network support / software development
- Experience in a financial services environment
