Job Summary
My client in the Short Term Insurance Industry is looking for a Financial Manager.
You will direct, manage, plan and co-ordinate organisation-wide financial management activities and policies to accomplish the goals and vision of the company and associated companies.
Minimum requirements:
- B Com (completed)
- Advanced MS Excel
- 3-5 years of proven management experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting within the insurance industry.
- Fundamental understanding of finance principles, legal and accounting best practices and operating procedures
- Sound understanding of the business purpose and operating context
- Thorough understanding of companies values and strategy
- Knowledge of corporate governance principles and audit requirements
- Knowledge of corporate governance principles and audit requirements
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation, tax law and other financial statutory obligations.
- Looking for someone who has come from the Underwriting/Insurance space and someone who has management accounting experience as the focus is more on the technical management accounting role.
