Job Summary

My client in the Short Term Insurance Industry is looking for a Financial Manager.

You will direct, manage, plan and co-ordinate organisation-wide financial management activities and policies to accomplish the goals and vision of the company and associated companies.

Minimum requirements:

B Com (completed)
Advanced MS Excel
3-5 years of proven management experience
At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting within the insurance industry.
Fundamental understanding of finance principles, legal and accounting best practices and operating procedures
Sound understanding of the business purpose and operating context
Thorough understanding of companies values and strategy
Knowledge of corporate governance principles and audit requirements
Knowledge of corporate governance principles and audit requirements
Knowledge of the relevant legislation, tax law and other financial statutory obligations.
Looking for someone who has come from the Underwriting/Insurance space and someone who has management accounting experience as the focus is more on the technical management accounting role.
