Looking for an experienced individual who has worked as the Head of Company Secretary division, in the insurance / financial services space (Listed company).
Successfully support the Directors
Keep Directors up to date regarding law related matters
Drive compliance with the memorandum of incorporation
Alignment with the Act regarding minutes of board, shareholders, committee meetings
Accurate submission of annual financial statements
Ensure that executive management and directors work within the authority framework
Ensure that procedures are adhered to when directors are appointed
Responsible for continuous training and development of the executive team and directors
Update charters and terms of reference
Assist with the drafting of yearly work plans
Work closely with the transfer secretary
Support the chairperson
Must have:
A valid Matric
BCom / BA LLB OR BCom / BA CIS
No less than 8 years' working experience as Company Secretary
No less than 6 years' experience working in a insurance / financial services firm (regulatory environment)
