Job Summary
As a Search Engine Optimisation Specialist, you are a vital player in helping our clients succeed with digital commerce. You're an experienced specialist applying your business experience to identify challenges and opportunities for search engine optimisation within the e-Commerce industry.
Your experience within e-Commerce will be advantageous but more importantly, you will need to show a track record of a strong ability to thrive in a rapidly growing environment.
With your knowledge about e-Commerce and SEO best practises, you’re able to guide and advise our clients as well as the delivery teams on a tactical level, as well as on a strategic level defining the overall SEO strategy which defines the long term roadmap.
Your role will be adjusted to meet your specialisation as well as your competency areas.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
- A relevant completed degree in the area of speciality and at least 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Proven hands-on SEO strategy implementation
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console
- Advanced understanding of HTML/HTML5
- Solid track record
- Proficient in English
- Retail and/or B2B experience
- Strong presentation & communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, needing minimum direction
- Strategic thinker that can offer creative solutions and ideas, with the ability to translate and communicate data into actionable items
Nice to have qualifications:
- E-commerce platform experience with platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, or Shopify
- Proficiency with Google Ads
- Experience with ranking software such as SEMRush, Conductor Searchlight or Raven
- Experience with reporting tools such as Google Data Studio
- Leadership experience
Duties
- Working with other agencies and clients directly to implement required technical SEO changes
- Follow best practice for SEO and advise clients on the best approach
- Manage the SEO for site migrations and new site launches
- Manage client portfolio of key clients
- Developing and executing SEO strategies
- Maintain SEO roadmap including prioritisation and meeting deadlines
- Measure SEO performance
- Keyword analysis and consulting
- Internal consulting to Project Managers and Developers
- External consulting to Clients and other Agencies
- Analyzing data, building monthly reports, and providing insights
- Keeping up to date on industry changes and best practices (such as algorithm updates)
- Contributing to user experience and conversion optimization audits and testing projects
- Contribute to our marketing activities, such as podcasts, publications, articles and events
- Grow and nurture new sales pipeline in close collaboration with our sales team
