Objectives

The success of any project is dependent on how well the project is managed thus it is imperative that there be a strong project management function in place to provide overall management of the grant project

Role Output: Our client operating within Financial Inclusion requires the services of a consultant to provide project management for a period of 18 months on a Social Services Grant Distribution Project

Responsibilities include:

Defining the project, its goals, and setting up the specifications and parameters of the project.
Defining and designing a project implementation plan which will include schedules, resource lists, tasks and activities, team members, risk analyses and reporting structures.
Implementation of the project.
Monitoring and controlling of the project.
Providing regular project reporting.
Developing and submission of a project close-out report which will document lessons learnt from the project to ensure that the outcomes are translated into future business solutions for the client

Expertise required

The consultant applying for this assignment must have in-depth knowledge and extensive verifiable experience in project management in the Public Sector with the following minimum qualification and experience:

Government and Public Sector Project Management Experience
Appropriate Degree or equivalent diploma
Certifications in Project Management preferable such as PMP®
Minimum of 10 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of project development and execution
Strong familiarity with project management software, MS Projects, MS Office suite of software
Demonstrated experience in team management
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
