The Security Technical and Operations Specialist is accountable to the Executive Manager TASEZ in consultation with the Security Manager of the Organization.
2. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
The Security Technical and Operations Specialist is to ensure the overall safety and security of an integrated Specialized Economic Zone consisting of investor communities, logistic park, long and short term residential complex as well as a conference center.
This will be achieved through the compliance with the relevant regulations and rules; effective utilization of the necessary safety and security equipment; efficient deployment of contracted service providers in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLA’s) The successful incumbent will be responsible to direct the administration and operations of all security components to attain its goals and objectives in accordance with the policies and Private Security Industry Regulations Authority (PSIRA) requirements and guidelines by managing all contractual and other service providers and ensuring that they deliver in terms of their SLA’s.
The Organization is seeking an individual that has the ability to incorporate a balance between technical and security operations for day to day functions.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES & OBLIGATIONS
The Security Technical and Operations Specialist is responsible for;
Recording of all security incidents referred
Prepare reports and presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations policies and procedures and security monthly statistics and present same
Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches, security systems failures and contractual manned guarding matters.
Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
To be on call for emergency security related incidents
Ensure minimum security standards are complied with
Acts as an interface between security, law enforcement, investors, customers and service providers.
Conducts a thorough investigation into all security incidents referred
Compiles and interrogates incident reports.
Assist in Preparation and Management of departmental budget
Ensure full technical Database Maintenance and Management, including AutoCAD drawings
Conducts compliance audits on a regular basic, in terms of CCTV, ACCESS and IDS systems
Liaison with local emergency authorities
Management of all Standard Operating Procedures. Manned Guards and Technical solutions deployed.
