Executive Head: Legal Counsel, Governance and Compliance

Large, leading Investment Management concern, the largest in SA and on the African Continent, are looking to appoint an experienced and astute Executive Head: Legal Counsel, Governance and Compliance to join their Exco team.
In this pivotal role, be responsible for setting the strategic direction of he Legal Counsel Governance and Compliance (LCG&C) unit as a whole, advising the Exco on all legal and compliance matters, ensure the effective implementation of the legal risk policies across all business units, collaborate with Exco and stakeholders to develop strategic objectives and anticipate global trends related to legal, regulatory and compliance concerns and identify probably impacts on, Managing the risk of the business unt, analysis of possibly regulatory compliance threats / risks etc.
Post Graduate Degree in Law essential. MBA / Post Grad degree in Business Administration pref. FAIS RE 5 completed (or to be completed within 6 months of employment), coupled with 10 – 15 years post administration experience within financial services / investment industry, of 2which 5 years must have been at senior management level.
