Job Summary
A distributor of electronic security products requires the services of an experienced Account Manager for their Branch in the Pretoria area
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for achieving sales, revenues and profitability targets within the allocated client base/area
- Responsible for identifying and developing new clients deemed as suitable for the company within the allocated client base/area
- Provide regular feedback and reports as defined by relevant ISO procedures and by the responsible Sales Manager on activity within the specified client base/area
- Participate in the presentation of potential solutions to clients
- Negotiate Service Level Agreements in line with company policies, to meet the client’s requirement and expectations
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans in the allocated client base/area to accommodate Company objectives, targets and budgets
- Review market analysis to determine customer needs, and recommend price schedules and discount rates
- Deliver sales presentations to clients
- Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalogues, and emphasizes features
- Regularly meets with clients, assisting them with sales quotes, literature, technical support, marketing material and training
- Monitors and evaluates competition activities and products
- Ensure calendar / CRM system is updated with all client contact details and client activities within the branch
- Ensures effective use of sales tools provided by the Company. These could be marketing, product or business-related tools
- Forecasting of current and future potential business within the client base including product category by vendor in conjunction with the Sales Manager
- Schedule client visits in line with Company and client requirements to ensure consistent contact and knowledge transfer through to closure of the sale
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers regularly
- Provide effective delivery of training within the client base/area
- Assist where needed in the preparation of client quotations in line with company ISO procedures and relative Service Level Agreements
- Attend trade shows and product launches as scheduled by the Company
- Assist with all Stock Takes
- Monitor debtors together with finance department and branch manager to ensure timely collection of outstanding monies in line with Company policies and procedures
- Provides immediate feedback to the debtors and finance departments with regards to any change in the clients’ status or ownership
- Work with all the Companies personnel responsible for the on-going quality service as required by the client – Management team, product managers, technical consultants, sales consultants, counter sales, procurement, warehousing, operations, finance and administration
- Ensure ISO procedures with respect to pricing policy, discounts and SLA agreements are adhered to
- Attend meetings as stipulated or scheduled by the Company
- Solve technical queries on products, by providing either telephonic support or on-site support
- Give after hours support to clients, where necessary
- Assists fellow Sales Representatives/staff with the support of their clients during illness, annual leave or general unavailability
- Assists the Branch Supervisor in the management of all slow moving, excess and redundant stock
- Assists the Branch Supervisor with monthly stock forecasting
- Maintains ISO compliancy
Requirements
- Grade 12
- MUST have own reliable, licensed and insured motor vehicle, this is NON-NEGOTIABLE
- Valid Driver’s License
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ Sales experience in the Security Equipment industry
- Relevant Sales related qualification and/or training would be advantageous
- Sound knowledge of Alarms/Access Control, Fire and CCTV Technical and Sales experience of this equipment is NON-NEGOTIABLE
- Proven Sales Track history
- Computer literate – MS Office, with database experience
- Working knowledge of Syspro or similar ERP software
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- SA Citizens Only
