Job Summary
Our Port Elizabeth client, a leader in the transport sector, is currently looking to employ an experienced "all-rounder" as their Senior Fleet & Client Relationship Manager.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Matric
- Logistics / Transport Qualification would be preferable
- Minimum 7 to 10 Years fleet management experience
- Ideally suited to a mature 35 year old individual with a proven track record as a Fleet Manager
Duties:
- Manage fuel consumption
- Monitor driver performance
- Evaluate integrity of load and associated risks
- Full utilization of vehicle at all times (limit empty loads to an absolute minimum), control, maintenance and tracking
- Accident and incident investigation
- Evaluate integrity of load and associated risks
- Fleet management of +/- 30 vehicles
- Driver allocation and management
- Sales experience :
- Source new business
- Source and follow up on leads
- Build sound relationships with clients and brokers
- Ensure full utilization of vehicle
- Client relationship management :
- Developer a sound relationship with clients and brokers
- Ensure open communications with client at all times
- Keep client up to date with progress of load (driver / client communication)
