CORE PURPOSE OF JOB |
The MBChB Program Coordinator will be responsible for the management of the pre-clinical and clinical training programs; the planning and coordinating of academic, operational and financial activities; the development, implementation and ongoing compliance with the Medical Program’s goals and objectives and monitor and bring to attention any national requirements in terms of clinical training at the Medical School and at the Public Health Facilities. The coordinator will participate in reviewing and aligning the MBChB degree curriculum. |

Education MBChB completed in South Africa Relevant Masters’ degree (Senior Lecturer) Relevant PhD will be an advantage (Associate Professor) Registered with the HPCSA as an Independent Practitioner A postgraduate qualification in Health Professions Education Experience and skills A minimum of 3-7 years’ extensive relevant work experience in teaching A minimum of 5-10 year’s clinical work experience as a Medical Officer or a Medical Specialist in a South African Public Health facility Proven experience in MBChB curriculum development and implementation Management and budgeting experience Proven track record of research output and publications |
