Job Summary
The role of the Server & Backup Engineer II is to provide level 1 and level 2 support for server and backup technologies. The Engineer is required to provide support and respond to tickets logged by customers. The role includes the installation and configurations of physical servers, Microsoft Windows Servers, Veeam backup/proxy servers and the management system namely N-able. The role also requires the day to day monitoring of server and backup environments. It also includes daily checks on other components such as storage arrays and network switches. This role requires advanced knowledge, skill and certification in Windows Server, Remote Desktops Services and Veeam backup technologies.
Qualifications / Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in working with Windows Servers
- Troubleshooting experience (problem-solving)
- An IT certification required
- VMWare certification
- Veeam certification (Advanced certifications) - preferable
- Experience with PowerPoint and Word
