Job Summary
The role of the Server & Backup Engineer II is to provide level 1 support for server and backup technologies. The Engineer is required to provide level 1 support and respond to tickets logged by customers. The role includes the installation and configurations of physical servers, Microsoft Windows Servers, Veeam backup/proxy servers and the management system namely N-able. The role also requires the day to day monitoring of server and backup environments. It also includes daily checks on other components such as storage arrays and network switches.
Qualifications / Experience
- At least 4 years’ experience in working with Windows Servers
- Troubleshooting experience (problem-solving)
- An IT certification required
- VMWare entry-level certification
- Veeam certification (preferable)
- Experience with PowerPoint and Word
