Job Summary
Our client requires in a Telco sector requires an Infrastructure Project Manager on a contract basis who will be responsible for the overall project management of large complex infrastructure projects .This position will demonstrate strong prioritization, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Accountabilities
- Project management of assigned moderate to large complex Information Technology projects
- S/he will be responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling assigned projects to completion
- Ensures project deliverables and tasks are completed on-time
- Successfully manages project roadblocks and challenges
- Assists with departmental projects and other duties as assigned
- Developing and maintaining the detailed project plan
- Managing programme risks & issues and escalating where necessary – includes reviewing escalated project issues to evaluate how they affect the overall programme and taking corrective measures
- Resolving cross-functional issues
- Change management: Reviewing and communicating project requests for ‘change to scope’ to evaluate any impact at a programme level
- Monitoring project level progress and performance
- Managing communications with stakeholders (in partnership with the Business counterpart)
- Liaison with and update project progress
Job Knowledge:
- A good understanding of the wider objectives of infrastructure projects within the banking industry
- Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
- Strong risk management skills
- The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
- Must have worked in large Corporate ICT environment
- Demonstrated experience in data center rationalization, consolidation and relocation
- Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery/business continuity planning
- Ability to work with a range of people, from highly technical architects to executive management; ability to communicate business value of options with supporting analysis
- General understanding of all data center functions (operations, network, storage, virtualization, change management, incident management, DR/Business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities)
- Demonstrated leadership skills, communication, analytical and problem solving skills, and short term and long term planning skills
- Possesses ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Performs duties with quality and accuracy
- Possesses exceptional multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective business and client relationships
