Job description
The role of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure that the equipment is available at all times. That all equipment is maintained and improvements are made as needed to improve production output.
The successful candidate must have
Qualification
- Minimum N3 or
- Technical Artisan Qualification
- 5 - 8 years in Technical Services
- 3 - 5 years experience in Robotics
Knowledge of
- Problems Solving Techniques
- Pneumatics
- Robotics knowledge or experience
- Hand tools, machining tools, measuring tools

Main duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure availability of equipment at all times.
- Manage Spare part store to ensure availability of spare parts when needed.
- Manage breakdowns on shift
- Must be able to work shifts
- On stand by at intervals, own transport essential
- When needed weekend work is available
- Shutdown maintenance availability
- Maintaining and optimization on automation machinery
- Welding and handling Robot maintenance, programming changes, parameter changes
- Fault finding on various electrical and mechanical machinery, welding cells, and PLC systems
- Maintenance and implementation of Pneumatic & Hydraulic Machines
- Conducting Preventative Maintenance & Pit Stops to prevent breakdowns
- Responsible for improving welding cell performances for more sufficient production output
