Establish and maintain effective relationship with internal supply chain and manufacturing
Load customer releases into ERP system
Analyze customer releases to determine if there are changes within the fix period and communicate any changes with customer
Respond to demand changes assessing risk, inventory, capacity and financial implications
Load and close production orders into ERP and HYDRA systems.
Analyze and query any production order variances
Facilitate and drive improvements of internal supply chain processes
Production Planning
Ensure that all subordinates are trained on work Instructions and work in accordance with established policies, procedures and quality standards
Maintain a safe and accident free work environment
Create an environment of effectiveness, efficiency and optimum performance of employees by providing direction, motivation and development in line with operational objectives
Ensure that targets are achieved in area of responsibility
Attend daily production meetings and plant walks
Minimum requirements:
Matric + Relevant Degree/Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management
At least 5 years relevant supply chain coordination experience in a unionized environment
Extensive knowledge of internal supply chain processes
Extensive knowledge of ERP Systems
Knowledge of Supply Chain Shop Floor Control Software
Extensive knowledge of KANBAN System & Scanning Control
Computer literate in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook
Ability to lead and motivate employees towards achieving a set of predetermined targets
Working knowledge of applicable labor legislation in the South African context
