Responsible for processing of payroll information to ensure that employees in all Corporate
Stores are paid timeously and correctly in accordance with legislation,
? Review payroll documentation for completeness and ensure standards are adhered to,
escalate non-compliance where appropriate,
? Do final pay run, print reports, and pay slips and do backups of weekly, and monthly pay
run,
? Managing the entire leave system/process – processing, monitoring, and reporting,
? Loading of staff expense claims and EFT payments,
? Loading EFT file for net salary payments,
? Maintain system database: load new employees, update records, process terminations and
transfers and any other changes,
? Submitting payslips to printers and dealing with payroll queries,
? Processing yearly increases in line with the legislation as well as the collective agreement
and bonuses,
? Submitting monthly statutory returns (e.g. UIF),
? Prepare EMP201’s monthly for staff, load EMP201 on SARS E- Filing,
? Assist with Bi-Annual reconciliation of EMP501,
? Annual COID (WCA) returns and payment,
? Prepare and timeously submit mid-moth and month end payroll reports,
? Prepare and timeously submit reports/schedules for third party payments and ensure they
are processed and paid over (Provident/Pension Fund, Union, Garnishees),
? Record keeping of all transactions/payments/ payments made to 3rd parties,
? Administer and accurately process statutory deductions and employee benefits while
ensuring all HR policies and labour legislation are adhered to,
? Liaison with retirement fund and medical aid administrators,
? Responsible for administration of Pension/Provident Fund (new members, retirement,
deaths, and withdrawals),
? Prepare monthly journals,
? Reconciliation of salaries-related general ledger accounts,
? Filing all payroll related documentation with proof and backup information for auditing
purposes,
? Plan workload accordingly to set deadlines,
? Any other ad-hoc duties,
