Job Summary
Red Ember is currently recruiting for a Junior Sage Support Technician based in Durban.
The role is to assist the Support Analyst to provide front-line primary technical support to end-users on various technical issues and problems relating to the Sage X3 ERP software. This includes assisting users with usage, designing & writing reports, data analysis & interface design.
Minimum Experience:
- 1 years’ experience in supporting the Sage X3 environment plus
- 2 years SQL experience
- 2 years Crystal reporting experience.
Business Analysis
- Provide first-line support to end-users experiencing problems & escalate when required.
- Document existing business processes, policies & work procedures.
Data Analysis
- Provide easy-to-digest data extracts for use by Finance, Department Management as well as for the purposes of internal and external Audits.
- Data imports for the budget on an annual basis.
- Creation and modification of import templates for the purposes of data integration as required.
- Monitor ATRACE files and perform log reading analysis for the purposes of troubleshooting system issues.
System & Folder Maintenance
- Perform SVG extract/ integration from time to time to keep test folders up to date.
- Provide first-line support to end-users experiencing problems & escalate when required.
- Monitor & maintain batch & accounting tasks.
- Monitor & maintain module interfaces & resynch where necessary.
Project Management
- Form part of project teams from time to time providing technical guidance on interfacing to Sage X3.
- Form part of project teams implementing new systems or expanding the existing ERP environment.
Report Writing
- Linking Crystal Reports to Sage report codes and parameter setup.
- Writing of queries and Crystal reports and modification of existing reports.
