Job Summary
Primary responsibilities:
Design
- Generate and create crafted, visually pleasing and highly conceptual designs under pressure, at a fast pace and within the brands CI
- Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, select style and size of type.
- Use computer software to generate and edit new images
- Mark up, paste and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed
- Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design to the point of final sign off
- Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos and websites.
- Scan over content to ensure word bible, spelling and grammar is correct (or send to copywriter)
- Ensure that design works convey the correct message or call to action
- Be creative and come up with ideas to help solve our client’s problems
Admin
- Ensure jobs are structured and distributed so that deadlines are met
- Liaise with suppliers to get artwork processed
- Assist with sourcing quotes on different totals and materials to offer our clients the best solution and price
- Collaborate with clients and internal team to create sales driven collateral
- Source new and fresh products and ideas to ensure client’s design stays on trend
- Follow up on installation and durability of items
Traffic and Management:
- Manage and oversee junior graphic designer and his/her work
- Assist/oversee design/photography on websites
- Assist with management of the traffic email
- Liaise with clients and suppliers on job, job status and application
- Maintain digital studio standards and conventions
Other
- Assist with interior design projects
- Assist with conceptualising ideas and campaigns
- Stay up to date with industry trends
- Gain and retain strong product knowledge
Key Requirements:
- Strong management skills
- 3-4 years design experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Marketing knowledge
