My Client a Luxury Island Resort and Spa is recruiting for a well experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper preferably with a sound financial background in Hospitality / Hotel industry
Remuneration:
- US$ 2000 - US$ 2500 Negotiable - based on experience and current earnings
- Single status Live in with meals on duty

Job Summary:
- Maintaining / Managing and setting up of policies, procedures and systems for the Resort accounting function.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have suitable Tertiary Financial qualifications - Diploma / Degree ( Financial Accounting )
- Min 5 Years as Accountant / Bookkeeper
- Experience in the hospitality environment a distinct advantage and will secure
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages and sets up financial policies, procedures and systems for the Resort whilst operating conservatively and ethically
- Produces specified monthly financial reports in the format required by the company
- Manage subordinates
- Coordinates the preparation of Departmental Budgets and compiles Annual Budget
- Controls all Capex authorization forms for budgeted capital expenditure and operating equipment items
- Ensures that all statutory, monthly and annual returns are completed and returned timeously to the relevant local authorities and government departments
- Signs payments in conjunction with General Manager for all types of expenditure
Assessment of Performance:
- The timorousness and accuracy of financial statements delivered to GM / Owners
- The profitability of the organisation
- Financial ratios for creditor’s payment, debtor’s collection period, stock turnover and solvency and liquidity
- Actual versus budget figures
- Problems highlighted by the annual audit report
