Assistant Brand Manager – Plattekloof, Cape Town
START IMMEDIATELY! (+/- 8 MONTH CONTRACT)
R20 000 – R25 000 Per Month
Our client, a Global FMCG concern is currently in search of an innovative, highly organised and creative Assistant Brand Manager.
One would describe you as being an out of box innovative thinker who is collaborative whilst possessing good analytical and synthetical skills. You have the ability to understand, propose and engage people in marketing topics as well as work efficiently with local and global marketing and agency teams.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Be responsible for executing the marketing plan and digital strategy together with the Senior Brand and Marketing Group Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute the annual marketing plan in South Africa with the Senior Brand Manager:
- Prepare, follow and implement the promotional grid on TLC, and KIRI (360⁰ activations, with in store tasting, posm and media)
- Collaborate with promotional agencies (brief and creative) and sales team (presentations)
- Full A&M Management with support of the Senior Brand Manager
Be responsible for the digital (facebook, youtube, Instagram) and Schools program:
- Brief and implement the monthly digital plan, specific activations plan as well as community management
- Collaborate with the digital agency
- Implement the digital strategy for the brands
- Run in collaboration with agency partners the Bel Schools Nutrition programme (activity, samples and education)
Co-own the new products launches:
- Follow the launch of new products, packaging development, design, analysis
- Participate in the launch plan (activation in store / media)
- Do the trade presentations for new product and activation
Track business and performance analysis:
- Lead the budget process (PR / PO) and A&P tracking and reporting file
- Analyze market performance, brands and competition (with (IRI, adhoc studies, local sales), and share monthly results.
- Analyze promotional activations (ROI) and share results and recommendations of improvements
- Adhere to all deadlines within budget.
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Required Marketing or related diploma and/or level of professional experience: Preferred 0 to 1 years of marketing experience in FMCG, Food Industry preferred
- Digital marketing experience would be highly advantageous!
- Project management skills and previous experience in handling activations
- Keen interest in working on new brands
