Job Summary
You will be responsible for the full finance function and management of the finance team.
Key Duties:
Monthly processing and controls
- Ensuring that processing is up to date on a daily basis
- Processing transactions accurately
- Ensuring all transactions are sufficiently supported
- Completing reconciliations in a timely manner
- Completing reconciliations accurately with sufficient support
- Resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
- Completing management accounts within the deadline timeframe
- Managing the loan book to achieve accuracy
- Preparing accurate contractual agreements
- All processing and calculations relating to the loan books
- Custodian of the loan management system
- Preparation of income tax and VAT calculations and reconciliations
- Processing and management of intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Processing and management of investment transactions and reconciliations
- Performing a continuous self-review on work
- Performing other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Systems and databases
- Ensuring that systems and databases are being kept up to date at all times
- Providing input and suggestions to improve systems and Databases
Monthly reporting and analysis
- Preparing accurate stakeholder reporting within deadline timeframes
Customer service
- Attending to client service inquiries for existing customers
- Liaising with clients in a timely manner
People Management
- Providing oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff
- Empowering employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
- Leading employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning
Qualifications needed:
- A Relevant degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Previous management/supervisory experience
