Job Summary
The overall purpose of the position is for the SSRS and PowerBI reporting developer to work closely with the internal and external stakeholders in effectively collecting, analyzing, interpreting, presenting and managing quality data and delivering first time resolution on enquiries for the group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking ownership of queries and ensuring they are resolved timeously and effectively.
- Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and on-going requests in terms of data quality.
- Develop methodologies and methods for analyzing and presenting data in either SSRS or PowerBI, whichever is the most appropriate to solve the need.
- Collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.
- Efficient compilation and presentation of divisional and functional reports, data trends and analysis in the correct visualization tool.
- Interpret and analyze trends in information in order to gain valuable business insight.
- Identify opportunities for improved business performance based on information.
- Identify risks to the company and escalate accordingly.
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including 3 rd parties and service providers.
- Maintain broad product knowledge in order to effectively and accurately respond to
customer queries.
- Provide first time resolution on enquiries.
- Deal with customer requests in a competent, efficient and professional manner.
- Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and exceeded.
- Good relationships with team members as indicated by a willingness to assist colleagues.
- Support effective teamwork.
- Engage with appropriate training interventions to promote your own professional development.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant technology related degree/ diploma is an advantage
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in MIS/Reporting / Data extraction / Data analysis
- Proficiency in MS products, particularly Excel, SQL and SSRS.
- Experience in PowerBI
- Develops, designs or creates new applications, ideas, relationships, systems or products.
- Identifying the underlying principles, reasons or facts or information by breaking down information or data into separate logical parts.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Learn technical and functional skills quickly.
