Job Summary
An opportunity exists for a high-impact Financial Services Consultant who operates beyond traditional advisory and takes an active role in driving real-world outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with financial institutions across Africa including banks, fintechs, telcos, and MFIs partnering with them to navigate complex market and operational challenges. This role requires an individual who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution, ensuring that solutions are not only designed but successfully implemented.
This position is suited to a hands-on consultant who is commercially aware, delivery-focused, and motivated by tangible impact rather than theoretical output.
Key Responsibilities
Bridging Strategy and Execution: Engage at both strategic and operational levels, ensuring alignment between high-level objectives and practical delivery.
Exploration and Innovation: Assess emerging opportunities such as fintech integrations, digital transformation initiatives, and process improvements within client environments.
Ownership of Outcomes: Drive implementation and measure success through realized ROI, effective deployment, and sustained business performance.
Client Relationship Development: Build and maintain long-term partnerships, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
Core Areas of Work
Growth Strategy: Design and support go-to-market strategies across retail, business, and corporate segments, including digital transformation initiatives.
Market Sizing & Diagnostics: Conduct detailed market analysis to identify opportunities, target segments, and revenue potential.
Regional Expansion: Support cross-border growth strategies through market assessment and regulatory insight.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related).
- 5 – 8+ years of relevant experience, including:
- Financial Services industry exposure
- Consulting or advisory experience
- Financial Services industry exposure
