Responsible for carrying out research studies. Gathers and analyses statistical data to assist management in forecasting sales and developing new products.

Job purpose

Our dynamic Product Management team has many and great plans and is looking for a self-motivated individual to join the team. We need your market research and client insights to inform and thinking and decisions.

What you would need to achieve in this role

The Market Research Analyst will be responsible for the following:

Market research

• Evaluate, interpret and report on the external environment regarding:
  - Competitor product and business strategy analysis
  - Local investment industry (life insurance, banks, asset managers) trends
  - Global investment industry trends
• Develop, facilitate and implement a process for information sharing within our client's group and competitors where appropriate
• Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with other industry players
• Share insights with our client's Exco and management teams to inform business strategy
• Support Sales on competitor and trend analysis

Client research

• Gather insights into client experience through engagement with sales, client service, and intermediaries
• Identify needs of intermediaries and investors regarding product offering and functionality
• Preparing specifications of enhancements to product and client literature

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in a finance discipline
• 3-5 years experience in a related role, preferably within Financial services
• Excel (Intermediate level)

Qualification and Experience

Degree or Diploma with at least 3 years related experience.
