Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Finance in daily finance functions
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Prepare monthly TB, balance sheet and income statement
• Management account reporting slides in google slides
• Quarterly reporting slides
• Balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations (including provision and suspense accounts)
• Monthly journals
• Calculate month end accruals and provisions
• Administration of insurance and provident fund
• Administration of Evolution changes (Reporting and GL)
• VAT reporting and submission to SARS; Turnover reconciliations
• Preparing year-end adjustments and facilitating audit
• Payroll administration
• Upload of budgets and forecasts
• Variance analysis between budgets and forecasts
• Stock reporting
• Tax calculations
• Cashbook imports
• Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts (Imports and invoices)
• Perform month-end and year-end accounts closure process
• Ensure invoices are properly authorised in accordance with levels of authority and allocate it to correct supplier & general ledger
• Assist the finance team with general accounting queries

Experience and qualifications:

• BCOMM or equivalent accounting degree
• SAICA or SAIPA Articles
• Minimum 2 years post articles experience or equivalent relevant experience
• Advanced level excel skills
• Sage Evolution would be an advantage
• Google sheets and slides
