Must have a BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2 years working experience in Finance, Tax, Audit or Compliance
The ability to set and meet objectives and deadlines is important
Experience in working with multicultural teams and 3rd party providers will be required
Process management and compliance knowledge within a complex, matrix organization and across different functions are essential
Experience with ERP / SAP in decentralised environment is desired
Must have a good understanding of practical issues and trade-offs faced at country level, with the ability to communicate in adherence to global standards and principles
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing local Finance activities and coordinating Finance services with European Finance Operation centre (EFO) and outside service provider.
Coordinating compliance processes and protecting assets at country level.
Representing the company towards external auditors (together with CFL).
Supporting the finance integration activities.
Ensuring compliance with Companies Act and other laws relating to legal entity merger.
Ensuring integrity of the countries compliance program with corporate and local policies and procedures.
Continuously monitoring emerging internal control risks and updating existing controls and processes to respond to these risks.
Detecting and reporting, to appropriate management, any violation or deviation from standards and practices including the code of conduct, laws and other misconduct.
Leading the accounting operations process, which include fixed assets, payables, accounts receivables and transactions processing on the ERP system.
Preparing and analysing Ledger Accounting, Statutory Accounting and Reporting and Tax Reporting and collaborating effectively with both Business Facing Finance and outsourcing companies.
Preparing and recording relevant journal entries in local entity books.
Using best practices and knowledge to improve processes/services.
Ensuring timely delivery of relevant management reports and /or services to ensure accurate recording of all business transactions in ERP system according to the IFRS rules for group reporting and local GAAP rules for statutory reporting.
Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency in relevant processes and Service Excellence.
Expecting to deliver quality result in fast changing business environment.
Ensuring active involvement in month end closing and year end processes.
Cooperating with auditors and other departments.
Building and maintaining strong relationship with stakeholders.
Reconciling balance sheet ledgers to sub-ledgers on AP/AR/GL and clearing accounts.
Ensuring the basic controls are performed in a timely manner.
Supporting the finance integration activation and ensuring activities are completed in a timely manner.
Preparing necessary calculations required for legal entity integration and ensuring transaction are appropriately recorded.
Supporting the preparation of statutory, tax reports, returns in accordance with local GAAP, Tax regulations and Group standards.
Ensuring all company records are up to date in accordance with the Companies Act.
Managing timely feedback according to company standard on finance personnel, 3rd party providers and the European Finance Operation Team.
