Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated individual to join a boutique investment team as an Investment Operations Manager.
The focus of the role is to provide the business with support, in order to increase capacity and efficiency in administrating, monitoring and reporting on Clients' portfolios.
This role is based in Cape Town.
This is an Employment Equity designated position.
Some job functions, duties and responsibilities:
- Investment operations functions including portfolio valuation
- Portfolio rebalancing
- Client reporting
- Compliance and Risk management
- Client service: managing information requirements and queries
- Portfolio and client communication
- The implementation of investment administration processes and systems
- People management: Leading a team
Required skills and personal attributes:
- Business degree in Finance / Economics / Actuarial Science
- CFA / Masters in Finance preferred
- 5-7 years' experience in Investment industry (investment / portfolio administration in Fixed Income securities)
- Advanced Excel
- Proficient in the use of Reuters/Bloomberg
- Knowledge of at least 1 locally used fund administration system
- Familiarity with research and portfolio management / analytics systems
- System automation skills
- Programming skills a plus (knowledge of programming languages e.g., Python, C++, R, C#, VBA)
