Outputs
Data integration roadmap Design, build and implement an integrated road map for risk and
compliance data management to ensure that the organisation effectively
manages client and Group risk, and meeting regulatory reporting
standards by providing an overarching view across all existing risk domains
such compliance, internal audit, operational risk and fraud using the same
core data.
Operational management of data Manage risk and regulatory reporting by extracting data from various
geographies in which the bank operates and ensuring that data is
meaningful, value adding, complies with local reporting standards, and can
be aggregated to provide a group wide view of operational risk and
compliance within the required organisational and regulatory service level
agreements. Lastly, ensure effective running (always-on, always secure) of
portfolio data products such as feeds, API’s, curated data and data marts.
Consumption of data platform Act as the conduit between the enterprise data office, group data platform
teams as well as the risk and compliance functions to prioritise business
needs, and subsequently design and implement a data solution that draws
on a single source of data to manage risk and ensuring compliance and
adherence to regulatory reporting standards.

Service management of data Monitor, manage and improve the accuracy of risk analysis through
consumption of data by ensuring production stability in extracting,
transforming and uploading data into respective risk calculator models or
reporting interfaces enabling a clear view of risk for both the client and the
Bank.
Group data platform adherence Ensure the portfolio adheres to pre-defined Group architecture principles,
and actively converges onto the group data platforms and executes within
the defined engineering standards and frameworks to deliver
simplification and sustainability.
Provide team leadership Provide strategic direction and leadership to the feature teams one of
which is focused on the technical build related to the strategic data
integration project and the other on maintaining and enhancing the
existing data solutions ensuring alignment to the universal standards and
information technology toolbox.
Provide thought leadership Champion data and provide thought leadership by researching and
benchmarking data integration practices and thereafter implementing
innovative solutions to ensure that it mitigates risk for both the bank as
well as the client.
