Reporting to the IT Manager, be extensively involved in interpreting the business requirements specification and translate into a detailed system design specification to enable the development of innovative, flexible and efficient solution of a business problem. Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects and Developers in order to design new IT solutions, modify, enhance or adapt existing systems and integrate new features or improvements, with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.

Skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with 5 years’ + work experience as a Systems Analyst;
• Advanced experience in Object Oriented design, Service Oriented Architecture and Java;
• Advanced knowledge of ERDs, process flow charts, sequence diagrams and use cases;
• Ability to document requirements using UML; SQL – Database design, queries, reporting;
• Enterprise Messaging Bus architectures;
• Experience in using Modelling tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect);
• Possess advanced programming logic and ability to write pseudo-code
• Strong skills to investigate and analyze information in troubleshooting
• Good understanding of project management principles and SDLC
• Good grasp of Java coding techniques and the ability to read and understand code
• Thorough understanding of process flows and business rules and how this is modelled in the IT systems
• Exposure to one or more of the following languages XML, and JSON
• TOGAF certification a plus
