Job Summary

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer JHB Mechanical Beng. Engineering Degree 5+ years’ working years’ experience gained as a Mechanical Design Engineer at companies Solid works Designing, 3D CAD modelling experience or similar/ or Other Background in automated engineered systems advantage Data pack experience BOM experience Own Project Managing experience gained Conceptualize and design mechanical purpose-built machinery, industrial equipment, jigs, conveyor systems, lifting equipment OR Other Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software advantage but not essential Specification of electro-mechanical, hydraulic +pneumatic control systems. advantage Create+ assist with complex project quotations Plan and lead medium to large projects Perform design reviews. Manage project risks. Coach and mentor Junior Engineers. Conduct complex and high-risk designs. Ensure due diligence Look at overall department efficiency, digitization, workflow streamlining and planning for the future. Work to Company CAD and PDM standards. Detailed Designs done ISO, SABS and Customer Standards. Able to work under pressure and to deadlines Willing to relocate if needed Willing to work overtime when needed Able to start immediately or as soon as possible (1 – 2 weeks) - advantage Salary offered: R35 000 -R45 000 Gross CTC per month
