Job Summary
Area: Qwaqwa, Free State
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A tertiary qualification in Production Management is preferred.
- Previous production management experience within a Packaging Industry in a supervisory role is essential.
- Must be able to implement processes and procedures.
- Must have extensive understanding of on-time-in-full (OTIF) manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing, observing and evaluating workers and work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service.
- Assigning duties, responsibilities and workstations to employees in accordance with work requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring housekeeping of the factory at all times.
- Overseeing and ensuring operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Providing manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production performance records and data.
- Resolving personnel problems by analysing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending corrective action.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
- Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
