Automotive Paint Robot Programmer, Rosslyn (Pretoria) R80k-R85k ctc p.m.
- Relevant Tertiary education.
- 5-10 years Painting experience in automated paint facilities
- Knowledge / Experience of paint chemistry (Solvent & Waterborne), fault finding and & problem solving
- Robot Studio and Shop floor editor essential
- Spray painting / Spot Repair experience / process knowledge / paint technology
- Robotic Training and Experience
- Jig development and problem solving
- Knowledge and experience of paint technology.
- Verify jigs on teach robot.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Paint application optimization
Ability to train employees to operate the robots correctly and to optimize the process and paint usage. The key attributes that are required would be a strong, motivated and performance orientated person with initiative and problem-solving abilities. The person must not only have the technical knowledge & experience but also the ability to coach / train others.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Product optimization: Tech Robot, Flaming Robot, Primer Robot, B/C Robot & Clear and coat Robot programming
- Paint application optimization.
- Verify jigs on teach robot.
- Continuous improvement, develop and improve processes / yield / efficiency.
- Jig development and problem solving.
- Perform and monitor progress of specific projects.
- Investigate Production / Process problems, give feedback and action (pro-actively)
- Verify the effectiveness of processes and productions adherence to processes.
- Determine, verify, monitor and report on all material usages.
- Review all processes and materials continuously for improvement in quality and cost.
- Provide operator coaching and training when required.
- Perform all of the above pro-actively, under minimal supervision, and be a motivated
- individual and a team player.
- Be aware of targets and objectives set for ISO 14001 and discuss these on a regular
- basis with staff and monitor progress achieved.
