- Minimum of 3 – 5 years Material Planning/Production Planning experience
- Qualification in Business Admin, Distribution, Supply Chain or Logistics management highly advantageous
- Deadline driven and attention to detail a must
- Ability to handle pressure!
- Strong leadership & Interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, goal orientated, able to work under pressure!
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills – Excel advance a must
- Drivers Licence (08)
- Must have own transport and be able to be flexible(must be able to be on standby – after hours support)
You will be responsible to:-
- Planning and control over supply chain regarding all relevant production material
- Ensure sufficient material flow to production
- Ensure timeous supply chain gap coverage
- Reporting of material problems
- It is the responsibility of the Material Planner to ensure that urgent or late material will be supplied to the production lines through the correct channels
- Maintain old FIFO dates in the warehouse regarding slow runners and expiry dates
- Forward critical lists to suppliers and follow up with the appropriate corrective action
- Responsible for 2204 and 2604 to reflect the correct stock as indicated
- Responsible for all freight reports, Mocca lists, obsolescence reports, oversupply reports, under supply reports, stock analysis, negative stocks
- Maintain up to date information to production on current out of stock situations
- Ensure material supply to Projects where applicable
- Maintain the MRP by comparing such to the call-offs received from the customer
- Order runs to all relevant suppliers as per given date
- Ensure that suppliers receive these orders at the correct time
- Any general duty/tasks as may be directed by management.
