How do I place a free advert?
- Click on PLACE A FREE JOB AD
- You can either log in first and then place ads or place ads first and then log in / register
- Type in advert details
- Press SUBMIT
- You will get a confirmation where you can delete, Edit or send for view.
How do I register with Job Mail?
- Top Left or by clicking on the employer button
- Select Employer registration
- Click on "CLICK HERE TO REGISTER"
- Fill in the required details and SUBMIT
- A username and password will be email to you
How do I repeat my adverts?
- Log into your account with Username & Password
- On "My Job Box", Click on "My current vacancies"
- All your current vacancies will appear
- Click "[Repeat Vacancy]" for each advert you want repeated
How do I delete an advert?
- On "My Job Box"
- Click on current vacancies
- Select the advert you want to delete and press "select for delete"
How do I change my password?
- Log in with your Username & Password
- On "My Job Box" Under "My Profile", Click on "Change password"
- Type in the new Password and SUBMIT
How do I edit my profile?
- Log in with your Username & Password
- On "My Job Box" Under "My Profile" and click on "Edit your Profile"
- Please note that your account will go for verification again
My advert does not submit.
- When placing an advert and it does not submit, you will get a message in a "red box"
- Check what the message says and rectify
How much does it cost to use Job Mail?
- Registration is FREE
- Ad placement is FREE (Set criteria)
- CV view is PAYABLE
What constitutes as a free ad?
- A free ad is job specific
- A free ad states a basic salary
- A free ad is not longer than 250 characters
- A free ad gives the recruiters contact details
- A free ad appears online instantly for 7 days and is published in the next weekly Print edition of Job Mail, published every Thursday
When do I have to pay?
- If you don't meet any of the free ad criteria
- If you want your vacancy to stay online for 30 days
- If you want to put your LOGO with the advert
- If you also want access to the CV Database
How long does my advert stay live?
- A free ad stays online for 7 days
- Commercial ads stay online for 30 days
- Premium ads stay online as predetermined by the employer

Do I have to have an email address for me to register my CV?
Yes, this is important otherwise the advertiser has no way of locating you on-line
What do I do if I don't have an email address?
I want my CV searched by prospective employers but for confidentiality purposes I don't want anyone to see my personal details for now. Can this be done?
Absolutely. Clear the tick field "Allow employer to view MY PERSONAL DETAILS." in the "Personal Details" box and your personal details will not be shown.
Do I have to send a new covering letter every time I apply for a vacancy?
No, your cover letter that is completed when you register your CV will be used.
Does my CV get sent automatically to the advertiser together with my covering letter.
Yes. Once you have registered your CV this will always be sent with your covering letter to the advertiser.
How can an employer reply to my application if my personal details are hidden?
The employer will still be able to contact you although he cannot see the address. He is actually sending his reply to our database and we then send it to you.
What is the difference between a Private Company and Recruitment Agency?
A private company we define as a company that is looking for employees to fill vacancies in their own Company. A recruitment agency advertises vacancies on behalf of Private Companies and not specifically for their own business.
How will my CV be searched?
Premium employers can search our entire CV database of active CV's and the 1st thing they will see is your cover letter, so be sure to make your cover letter as brief, but descriptive of your skills(pertaining to your field of work) as possible.
How do I view my response from the employer on the site?
Log in as a jobseeker and on "My Jobmail" click on view responses
I have found suitable employment, how do I de-activate my CV?
Log in, under "My Jobmail" click on "make inactive"
I have not logged in for some time, when I try to apply it tells me that my CV is inactive why is this?
Job Mail Automatically de-activates any CV where there has been no activity for 3 months to uphold the usage and quality of the site.

How do I enable JavaScript in my browser?

- Select Tools from the top menu
- Choose Internet Options

Why do I not get my welcome/email verification mail on my hotmail account?
Please check your spam/junk folder as most web based email systems tend to pick up the mail as spam/junk. And it can be found in that folder

Why can I not log in and get the following message?
You may not enter because your Email Address has not yet been verified.
Please click on the 'Verify your account email address' link in your received Registration Email. To resend your Registration Email click on the link below. We apologize for the inconvenience
This means your email address has not yet been verified and thus you will not be able to log in until it has been verified.
Check your email for the verification mail
You can also resend the mail by clicking on
Resend Registration email on the same screen
How do I create an Alert as a Jobseeker?
- Log into your Jobseeker account
- Click on Manage Alerts
- Give your alert a name Eg Civil Engineers
- Enter the keywords Eg Civil
- Select the region
- Select the industry EG Engineering
- Select the Sub Industry EG Civil Engineering
- Fill in the remaining fields
- Finally choose if you would like to receive the alerts via mail
- Now click on Add to Alerts
Your new alert will now be created and you will receive alerts of Jobs matching this criteria Every 2 days, Every week or Every 2 weeks depending on the frequency you have chosen.
Why do some Jobs in My Basket have an apply button and others not?
Not all employers enter their email address in their ads, thus those ads will not have an "apply button" you will need to call the employer or fax your cv.
