Tips on how to clear your temporary internet files

Posted on: June 6th, 2012 by Heinrich van den Worm 21 Comments

Have you ever heard the term “clearing the cache” or “remove your temporary files”? Have you also wondered why you should do this? Here at Job Mail we want to help educate our users and in turn make not only their online experience better but also clear your computer of unnecessary junk and to make sure that you get to view the most of whatever you are seeking.

Temporary internet files are downloaded to your computer every time a website is accessed through a web browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, Firefox).  This happens for example, when a certain website is accessed and contains pictures, those pictures are downloaded onto your PC. The same goes for any other data that you receive while browsing.

If you don’t clear these files from time to time, it will cause your computer to become slow, as it is using up your RAM/hard drive to display this page. It will also make some pages that you are trying to access slow or won’t even open it up! For instance, when using Google Docs or Calendar and your cache is full, it will not open the page.

Here are the four main browsers that users are using and how to clear you cache/temporary internet files on them:

-Deleting Temporary Internet Files in Internet Explorer

-Clearing Temporary Internet Files in Firefox

-Deleting Temporary Internet Files for Safari Users

-Delete Temporary Internet Files on Google Chrome

We hope that this gives you a clear understanding on temporary internet files and on how to clear these files.

The most common problem faced on this website by most of the users is while posting a job advert is that the ‘Region’ and ‘Area’ details does not get accepted when advert details are submitted. So is the case with me.
I have been endlessly trying to enter region as ‘Middle East’ and Area as ‘Qatar’, first I got a automated feedback to confirm email address by emailing to ID rosep@jobmail.co.za (which I did). But still after doing so I am not able to post an advert.
Why doesn’t the website administrator do something about this, considering this is the most common problem. Kindly let me know how can I post an advert or should I check for other alternative website
